This is a kitty I made from a free Japanese pattern I found 😀 really cute

LINK HERE: Amigurumi Kittychan Pattern

There are four different sized kitties, this is the smallest one, made with DK wool and a 2.5mm hook. It measures about 10cm long, and 4cm wide :). Its really easy, the only thing I found difficult was embroidering on that flower on her back 😡

Anigiri 1: Elliegiri Pattern

I saw a range of animal onigiri and decided to make my own 😀

Hook size: 2.5mm

sc = single crochet

ch = chain

To make a magic circle, theres a great tutorial click here

I made the onigiri in light grey wool using HandmadeKitty’s pattern available here:

Click here

Ears (make 2):

Row 1. make a Magic circle, sc 5 in circle (5)

Row 2. turn, ch 1, sc inc until the end (10)

Row 3. turn, ch1, *sc inc, sc* until the end (15)

Row 1. make a magic circle, sc 6 in circle (6)

Row 2-8. sc round (6)

Sew the ears at row 14, where you started the decrease rows

Sew the trunk on row 7, below and inbetween the eyes

Tail – when finishing the sewing of the earsinsert the needle through the body of the onigiri to the rear, jus above the ‘seaweed’ (black square). Do this for both ears and the trunk, through the same hole, so you have three strands of wool. Plait them together until about 2.5cm long, then cut

Optional: Cut two circles of felt and stick them on either side of the eyes (cheek area)

and you’re done!
